The theme of the celebration is "Together we can prevent Cholera" this is to address the increasing death that occurs during the raining season due to the rate at which the bacteria "vibrio cholerae" infects foods and drinks thereby causing sicknesses and death.As future nurses and midwives there is a need for us to aid in preventive health care by serving as the source of reliable aid and support to the people in our communities by creating awareness in the area of preventive nursing.The beginning of the celebration would be marked with a float through the principal streets of the town, and right after that there is a football match organised between other health institutions. The main event will be marked by dignitaries who will be invited to mark the event by reading reports on the infection rate of cholera and ways through which they can be reduced and prevented.
